The Dungeon Tower

The Dungeon Tower is by far one of the best arena maps I’ve ever come across for Minecraft Pocket Edition. It contains six beautifully designed levels (especially so if you’ve got the optional texture pack applied) and the redstone mechanisms seem to work flawlessly. It’s a perfect map for anyone who enjoy monster battles or just want to improve their fighting skills. Also, it can be played by up to three players!

As soon as you’ve entered the map and read all of the rules it’s time to pick a class. Each class is different from the other so think carefully before picking one to make sure it suits your preferred fighting style.

Next, go to the shop to see all the different things you can buy. Before being able to buy any of these items you will need to slay some monsters. The loot from monsters is used as the currency for the shop.

Before entering the arena make sure to create a checkpoint either by sleeping or by using the /spawnpoint text command.

Each level has five monsters waves. To start one press the button on the emerald block. Then press it again after you’ve completed one wave to start the next one.

Look at the redstone lamps on the wall to keep track of how many waves you’ve completed.

You have to complete six different floor battles before finally reaching the top of the tower where a boss is waiting for you.

Don’t forget to visit the shop to upgrade your gear and weapons!

The End Add-on

The End is another dimension in Minecraft which doesn’t exist in the official version of Pocket Edition (until now). The End Add-on changes that as it let’s you explore a world which looks very similar to The End and even includes an epic boss known as the Ender Dragon. If you’ve always wanted to fight the Ender Dragon then you definitely have to give this add-on a try!

The Ender Dragon (replaces bats) and a bunch of Endermen will spawn as soon as you pass over the pressure plate at the beginning of the map. It will spawn no matter which difficulty you’ve turned on but we highly recommend it to set it to normal or hard to best simulate this experience.

It’s an extremely dangerous boss as it has 200 health points (which equal 100 hearts) and shoots ender fire charges from a range up to 64 blocks.

The fight is well worth it though as it drops one nether star and five stacks of experience bottles (which is enough experience to get you to level 30).

The endermites (replace silverfish) are small hostile creatures which can be found spawning in the the End City. They will also spawn if an Enderman dies.

If you are within a range of 16 blocks of an endermite they will attack you and seeing as they can teleport it can quickly get quite dangerous especially if there are many of them.

Endermen can be found all over the map. They are also hostile and will assist the Ender Dragon against you. Killing an enderman will spawn an endermite but there is also a chance that it might drop some ender pearls.

Ender pearls (replace eggs) is dropped by endermen. When you throw an ender pearl you will be teleported to the location wherever it lands.

InBegIn: Endless (Horror)

InBegIn: Endless is the third map in a series of mysterious horror maps. In this part you will travel to the village of Riggemond. Soon after you arrive you will realize that something isn’t right. It’s really not much more we can tell you than that as it doesn’t offer too much of a storyline but that is exactly what makes it exciting since you will have no idea what to expect.

Genesis

It’s some years in the future and artificial super-intelligence has reached an advancement where it’s thousands times more advanced than a human brain. Mankind have managed to almost reach self-destruction due to nuclear warfare but you are one of the few survivors in your region after a nuclear blast. You have now been put in a facility to go through a series of tests and one day hopefully save humanity from self-descrution.

You are slowly waking up but since you are suffering from amnesia you have no way of telling what have happened or where you have been transported. It’s some years in the future and everyone have by this point in time their own artificial intelligence host integrated in their brain.

Your AI has told you that you survived a nuclear blast and humanity have entered a period of nuclear warfare. You have now been put in this facility to perform several different tests in order to one day save mankind from destruction.

Twilight Forest Addon

This map and addon was mostly created as a concept or an idea for a new type of dimension in Minecraft PE. But it should be noted that the majority of textures and models originates from a popular mod for PC called The Twilight Forest.

In and around the twilight forest you will find lots of strange mobs. Let’s have a brief look at them.

The cows and mooshrooms have got a new set of horns.

Bats have been replaced by beautiful butterflies.

The sheep look like Alpina ibex (also known as steinbocks) and have curved horns. The pig has been replaced by a bison. And the horse have been replaced by a deer.

Getting chased by a tree, that gotta be a first time! Iron golems look like the Ents from The Lord of the Rings. They will not move unless they are attacked.

Wolves have been replaced by bears. They are supposed to be able to be tamed with fish but I couldn’t get it to work.

This is what the portal looks like which you need to enter to get to the Twilight Forest in the PC mod. If you enter through it in this map you will come to a strange version of the Nether with twilight mobs.

Here you can see some of the mobs appearing in this strange version of the Nether.

All of the wool blocks have been replaced by colored wood planks. However, it’s just the textures which have been replaced. The blocks will still have the same behaviors as wool (such as sound and time it takes to break it).

The nether reactor core have been replaced by a lucky block. Break it with a pickaxe and it will spawn a bunch of diamonds (which are actually iron ingots) and red emeralds (which are in fact diamonds).

The melon has been replaced by honeycombs.

Here you can see some other block textures which have been replaced. The purple ones are blocks found in the End but it’s actually quartz blocks.

There some more things which have been replaced but those I will let you explore by yourself!

State of Democratia

The City of Democratia is one of the largest and most detailed city maps so far created for Minecraft PE. The city offers a great variety of colors and there are peace signs all over the city. Probably in relation to the fact that it’s part of the Peaceland republic.

Another city which can now be explored is the City of Hollowoodenplank. You can reach this city by finding the long red bridge and follow it until you get to a mesa biome.

In the republic of Peaceland there are loads of different areas and buildings which can be explored. Everything from hospitals, libraries, univeristies to residential houses and apartment complex.

Surgeon Simulator 2

Surgeon Simulator is a clever and fun minigame where you need to successfully complete operation on eight different patients to complete the map. Each person has his or her own problem which you need to figure out and try to solve in order to save her or his life. It’s a stressful job to work as a surgeon but nonetheless one of the most important ones in the world.

Take the tools from the chest and when you feel ready start the map by entering the first room.

In each room you will find a patient who needs medical assistance in some way. Before entering each room there will be a brief instruction of the patient’s problems given by a nurse (also known as the signs). Read the instructions and then try to find a solution for her or his problem.

Alien Invasion

A city has been invaded by aliens and their intentions are clearly not good. It’s up to you (and your friends if you play this in multiplayer) to save the city from this evil. The objective is pretty clear. Grab some gear, kill some aliens and shoot down the spaceships.

This map comes with a required add-on which works for 0.16.0 and above. It was created by the Minecraft developers to showcase add-ons in one of their presentations during Minecon.

These aliens are in fact zombies, skeletons and iron golems. But their textures and behaviors have been redesigned to turn them into aliens.

Some of the UFOs are actually flying around. Without the add-on they would be ghasts. It’s amazing to see what we can change in-game simply by creating and using these add-ons!

The objective is to destroy all of the spaceships. Make sure to read all of the signs in-game to understand how to eliminate each target.

I gotta say, it’s a really cool city! Maybe once you’ve saved the city from the aliens you can repair the damages and move in?

Castle Siege

In this map you will have to help villagers defend their castle against evil monsters which are going to try to attack it. In total there’s somewhere around five minutes worth of gameplay. You won’t be alone (even if you play in single player) as villagers, iron and snow golems will also stand strong and help protect their castle. Pick up arms and try to defeat an army of evil and become a long lasting hero in the Minecraft universe.

Dropper IB Halloween

Dropper IB Halloween is the 6th map in an ongoing series of dropper maps. This time it features 14 different levels and some of which are Halloween themed. Most levels are really cool as they include really amazing color and pattern combinations which definitely boosts the experience of the map. If you are new to dropper maps then you might want to try one of the previous maps first.

There are three rooms in total and in each one you will find four different levels. Make sure to read the signs to understand at which level to start.

The objective is the jump down and try to land in the water. Once you start falling use the normal controllers to steer away from the obstacles. It might take a few tries before you successfully land in the water. But once you do, it means you have completed that level and can move on to the next level.
