Planet Ten

Planet Ten is one of the most difficult parkour maps you will ever play and the expected gameplay is somewhere around 7 days. I haven’t played it through yet so I don’t know if that’s true or not, but it sure seemed quite difficult. One thing which doesn’t make it easier is the fact that it’s set in a very dark environment. If you like yourself a tough challenge then give it a try!

Storyline: The Earth was coming to an end. Xenomorphs destroyed mankind and the cycle of life was obliterated. We had to escape and settle on another planet. We called it Planet Ten. It’s not like Earth. Noises disturb us all of the time and for some reason we have to complete an obstacle course to prove that we aren’t one of those horrific creatures. Only the strong ones will survive.

The 50 Trivia Questions

This map includes 50 different questions and each question has three alternative answers. All of them are in some relation to Minecraft and most of it relates to things which only a geeky Minecraft player would know. It’s highly recommended to read up on the wiki before starting. All in all, it’s a great quiz for Minecrafters.

It’s really easy to get started. Just read the question and then pick an answer by pressing a button. If you are correct you will be teleported to the next level, and if you are wrong you will die and have to start over.

Brain Games

Brain Games is a map consisting of multiple different puzzles which need to be solved. In each level you will be presented with a problem and since there are no instructions it definitely makes the levels difficult to complete. The challenges are all different and they range from redstone problems to unusual problems involving chickens.

Flying TNT Mobs

This is a command block showcase which combines TNT blocks with flying mobs and the result is a flying TNT block. No mods are required as everything is powered by command blocks. It’s quite limited in terms of functionality, but it’s definitely unique and something which I hope to see added in some way or another in future maps.

You can obtain the flying TNT mobs (spawn eggs) from the double chest. Before using a spawn egg make sure to press all of the buttons. This is necessary since they are basically powered by command blocks. If you want to learn how it works then simply press one of the command blocks to view the used commands.

The Octobox

The Octobox is a shulker box selector system originally created by Ethos Lab for the PC version of Minecraft but it has now been recreated in Minecraft PE as well. The system includes a simple user interface which lets you use an arrow to select a shulker box and then have it automatically appear in front of your eyes.

Use the arrow to select the shulker box which you want to access. There’s a slight delay so make sure to give a second or two before selecting another box in order to avoid possible glitches.

The selected box will appear at the bottom of the machine. You can break the shulker box to obtain it.

The shulker box is more mobile than an ordinary chest in that sense that it the items will remain inside the chest if it is destroyed. You can then pick up the block and place it down elsewhere.

You can return it to the shulker selector machine if you want to keep it stored in safety again.

The following tutorial was created by Ethos Lab and it is for the PC version of Minecraft. This map includes multiple changes since there are some differences in Pocket Edition compared to Minecraft for PC.

Working Escalator

This is a redstone and command block creation which lets you use an escalator to go up or down to reach your destination. An escalator is basically an automated staircase which does the walking for you. The only thing which is asked of you is to stand on the correct block and the machine will do the rest to allow you to reach your destination.

Begin by pulling the levers down to turn on the escalator. To go up you need to use the left staircase.

Stand on the bottom block assuming that you are at the bottom of the escalator. After a second or so you will be gradually teleported to the top of the escalator. You can use the other side of the escalator to go down to the bottom again. It works just the same way as going up, but now you will be going down.

Simple Sea Settlements

This map is good if you are looking to set off your next survival adventure with a little bit of a story. You’ll start out on a small island with a lighthouse and from there you’ll take a boat to another island. There are few different custom made structures and some chests which will provide you the base necessities for surviving. Don’t expect too much though, it’s a fairly simple map.

Custom Mob Creator

This is a command block creation which lets you customize the outfit for a zombie. You can make it wear any type of body armor and you can also give it any type of weapon or tool. This particular creation have many different uses. It’s a great way to manipulate the capabilities of certain mobs without actually modding the game.

In one end of the room there is a husk zombie behind a wall of glass which will be used for the experiments. Use the buttons on the walls to give it different items and armor.

You can literally combine anything that you want it will instantly start wearing it. It’s all done through command blocks and redstone.

In the other end of the room there is a button which you can press to reset the mob.

Ultimate Slayer

Ultimate Slayer is a quite unrestricted arena with automated processes such as the ability to obtain kits by pressing buttons or stepping on pressure plates to get teleported to a new space. It’s quite barebones at this point but hopefully that will improve as the development of the map continues.

Begin by letting each player select a class. At this point there are only 7 different classes but in the future there will more ones. The current classes include the following

 

As soon as you’ve selected a class and equipped the items then it’s time to enter the arena. There are four different ones to choose from and more will come in a future update.

You can check the size of the arena by looking at the item frame for each arena.

Once all of the players have entered the arena then one of you will have to start a countdown before the game ultimately begins. You can make up your own set of rules

April Fools Creations

April Fools’ Day is celebrated on April 1 every year and it’s usually done so by playing practical jokes and pranks on friends. This map showcases 13 different redstone creations. It’s great to play if you want to get some inspiration on structures which you can build in your own worlds to play pranks on your friends. Some of them are quite obvious though so you need camouflage them carefully!
