Gorilla Island

Gorilla Island is like a small theme park which is located on the coast of one huge island. There are lots of different structures which you can explore here. For example, there’s a huge gorilla head with eyes of lava and a medium-sized castle situated in the water. Are you someone who can’t get enough of roller coasters? No problems, there are plenty of them here. Everything looks very Minecrafty and blocky but it’s nonetheless a fun map to explore.

The Treasure

This is a beta version for The Treasure which in its final form will include a total of six challenges. After completing each challenge you will be rewarded with treasure (also known as a mob head). Each level usually includes a series of challenges which can include basically anything such as puzzles or parkour. At this point there is just one level but hopefully it will be expanded to more levels soon.

At this point there is just one level but in the future it will likely be expanded and include at least 6 different levels. Press the button on the block to enter the first level.

As soon as it’s started you’ll be given some instructions on what to do and then to complete it you simply need to execute the task successfully.

A level can include multiple tasks. But once you’ve completed them all you will be rewarded a treasure (also known as a mob head) which you can add to the treasure room.

Stampy’s Lovely World PE

Stampy’s Lovely World is created by Stampylonghead who is one of the most popular YouTubers in the Minecraft community. Here you will find lots of shops, restaurants and other weird structures which have been featured in Stampy’s videos. This was originally created by some fans for Xbox but has now been ported to Pocket Edition as well.

It might not be 100% up-to-date, but it’s better than the world we previously had available here!

GoldenBurg City

This map consists of one medium sized city which is built in a plains biome in an infinite world. It’s a very clean looking city which include multiple great designs for structures such as skyscrapers. The one thing which makes it stand out is the fact that it really looks Minecrafty and doesn’t attempt to look any other way. It’s not the biggest city but it’s definitely pretty cool if you are looking for someone Minecrafty and not too realistic.

Cars Land (Radiator Springs)

Radiator Springs is a small town situated in a mesa biome and it was originally featured in the movie Cars which was produced by Pixar back in 2006. A few years later it was recreated in Minecraft for PC and that map has now been ported (to some extent) to Pocket Edition. It’s not completely bug free, but it’s perfectly playable and a must-play for anyone who watched the movie.

Metro / Subway

This map includes more than five different subway stations, a fully automatic system for departure and other processes to keep things moving smoothly and without interruptions. There is also a custom texture pack which adds signs such as arrows and similar to make it a more seamless and enjoyable experience. Redstone is an essential part of this build which automates nearly everything.

There are multiple subway stations which can be accessed from ground level. A custom texture pack includes some special textures for certain items. Down below you can see that the correct entrance doors are marked with green check marks.

Down in the subway you will find two tracks each heading in a different direction. Spawn a minecart by pressing the button, board it and then wait 5-10 seconds for departure. It’s automatic so you don’t have to do anything to get rolling.

The rails are always underground but the environment has been customized to make the trip more interesting and enjoyable.

Broken Moon (Manipulate Time)

This is a really cool command block creation which happened by random. Dantheshepard13 was playing around with the command blocks and soon he managed to manipulate the way that moon phases are displayed on the night sky. In this map you can do the same. All you need to do is to press a button to see some strange things happening in the sky.

Creator: Dantheshepard13Updated: 11 May, 2017 (added version with less lag)

Press the button found on the ground behind the sign at spawn. You might actually need to press it multiple times in order to get something (strange) to happen in the sky.

Here’s one example of what can happen. It’s really difficult to describe this but let’s just agree that it’s weird.

Aliens?!

The moon phases are glitched!

The Three Mazes

This is a great minigame which sets you up for challenges which require you to locate a couple of different monuments and then ultimately find a way out of the maze. It’s not going to be too easy since all of the mazes are fairly complex and definitely require some brains to be completed (or to avoid getting lost inside).

Creator: CameronTheWolf, Twitter Account

The objective is to find all of the monuments and then escape the maze by finding the main gate. However, there are in total three mazes which you’ll need to find a way out in order to win the game. There are also a bunch of side missions, like rescuing villagers who are lost somewhere in the maze.

Once you’ve found one of the monuments in the main mission and toggled the lever for it, then it the redstone torch for that will turn dark.

Missing Color

Missing Color is a parkour map taking place in a colorless environment. It’s as if the colors have been absorbed by an unknown force and it’s your objective to find a way out from this foreign place. But it’s not going to be easy because the only colors you will be able to see are black and white. The parkour levels wouldn’t be hard if there would have been colors to distinguish the obstacles.

Vanilla Machinery: Quarries

This is an amazingly useful command block machine which can be used to more efficiently mine huge holes into the earth. It doesn’t just destroy the blocks, it also takes care of the blocks and stores them in a dropper for you. It is powered by a command block machine and that means it must be used within a certain proximity of that in order to function properly.

Creator: Kingbudderjr, Twitter Account

To build a quarry you will need 1 dropper, 1 hopper and 1 rail track. Make sure that the dropper is facing upwards. Turn on the power generation (command block machine) by using the lever.

Before it can start you will need to add some fuel. Place four coal blocks around the quarry. To start the quarry place a minecart with a hopper on the top of the structure on the rail track. It might lag for a second but short thereafter it’ll dig a hole straight down into the earth.

You can obtain the mined items by accessing the dropper. Sometimes some items are left on top of the quarry machine, just pick them up manually if that happens.

You can continue by mining further into the earth. Simply place four more coal blocks around the quarry machine and then a minecart with a hopper on top to start it.

Important: This map is limited to 1.1.0.5 beta users only. Android users can sign up for the beta here!
