The Ruins: Chapter 1

The Ruins: Chapter 1 is a multiplayer minigame in which the objective is to try to find 32 diamonds. The diamonds can be found hidden in a numerous of chests scattered around in a town of ruins. It’s a non-competitive map which can be played by friends who want to go on a little adventure in a cool world.

To play this map you will need to be at least two players. Take the items from the chests and then run into the ruins and try to find all 32 diamonds. Once you’ve found them return to the spawn area and drop them in the hopper and solve the simple lever puzzle to complete the map.

Skyblock Biome

Skyblock Biome is a world consisting of 9 different islands each resembling a biome in Minecraft. It’s a challenging survival map as it requires you to use only the resources found on each island to survive up in the sky. The ultimate goal is to explore all 9 islands and try to discover all secrets they hold.

The objective is to try to survive and find a way to explore all 9 sky islands in the map. In each island there will be some hidden treasures which you should find and then try to use in the most effecient way to develop your world.

Slimeblock Elevator

This is a slimeblock elevator powered by redstone. You select the floor level by using the arrow on an item frame and then just step into the elevator to go to the selected level. It’s really simple to build too. Have a look at the redstone and try to recreate it in one of your own worlds.

The elevator supports five different levels. You can of course add more levels to it if you intend to use it in one of your worlds.

To select a floor tap on the arrow in the item frame. In this case I decided to set it to #5. Then step into the elevator, stand on the slimeblocks and press the wooden button.

And as you can see, I was sent to the top floor (#5).

Redstone Master 2

Do you master the art of redstone? This map provides the perfect challenge to test your redstone skills with a combination of parkour. In each level you will be provided a blueprint for the redstone and you have to use block rules to figure out how to structure the redstone. If you succeed then a door will open and you can move onto the next level.

In each parkour level you can retrieve items related to redstone. Read the block rules to find out on which blocks you are allowed to place the redstone blocks.

Here’s the solution for the first level to give you an idea how it works. Find and stand on a pressure plate to retrieve the redstone items. Then use the block rules to place them on the clay blocks. If you do it right the door to the even more complex level will open.

The Fall of Heaven

The Fall of Heaven is one of those maps which makes you question whether this can really be Minecraft. It’s an amazing creation featuring a huge citadel, a majestic statue and an infernal and vicious dragon. The map was originally created for the PC version of Minecraft and took well over 100 hours to build. It has now been ported to Pocket Edition and can be played either as an adventure map (with quests) or as a creation map to just marvel at.

One day you were down at your mineshaft mining some diamonds. Suddenly a creeper appeared out of nowhere and blew up. But since you had been a good miner you were sent to heaven. When you got to heaven you quickly noticed that things weren’t as they should.

Demons from the internal core of earth are attacking. It’s up to you to help the Archangel Thannos to hold up a defence against the mother of demons and ultimately demolish them!

Automatic House Builder

This is an amazing redstone machine which can be used for building a really simple cobblestone house. Even though it’s probably easier to build the house by hand it’s still cool to see the things which redstone really can do for you. Hopefully this machine can give you the basic guidelines for building something similar and perhaps even more advanced in your own worlds.

The cobblestone house size is a 15×15 box. It’s not the most gracious house but it’s more the automatic process of building it which is cool.

The house should take somewhere around 10-15 minutes to build. But it can be even slower than that if you have a less powerful device, e.g. an older phone.

A key functionality of the structure is the cobblestone generator.

Dropper IB 2

Dropper IB 2 consists of 10 different dropper levels. If you’ve never played any dropper maps before then this map is suitable as most levels are fairly easy to complete. It’s a quite basic map but definitely enjoyable if you like this kind of maps.

Find the first level and then look down and scout for a possible route to jump down and land in the water at the bottom. There is no ladder or staircase which you can use to return to the top. So we highly recommend to change the gamemode to creative to quickly get back to the top.

Important: Change the gamemode to creative before entering the map. Otherwise there will be no way to return to the top and move onto to the next level.

Rexzy’s Village

Rexzy’s Village is located in an alpine forest. It’s a medieval styled village with multiple clock towers, churches and homes of varying sizes. It work perfectly for a survival type of gameplay if you want to live in a village and feel more secure rather than living out in the woods all by yourself. The architecture of the village is really well done. The only downside is that there is no protective wall to keep you safe from the outside world during the night.

Lava Run 2

Lava Run 2 is a competitive minigame and parkour map where you play against time. Once you’ve entered a level a timer will be set and after somewhere between 1-4 minutes lava should start pouring down from the ceiling, hopefully behind you. Try to get to the finish before the lava kills you.

In this first level you have four minutes to complete the parkour level. Failing to complete the level will be severly punished.

Biggest Calculator (16-bit)

This is the biggest and most technically advanced calculator so far created for Minecraft Pocket Edition. It supports addition, subtraction and numbers ranging from -65535 to 65535. You can make multiple additions to each set of numbers to perform more advanced calculations. The display screen is huge and displays the output answer very quickly for being such an enormous calculating machine.

In this example I decided to perform a simple calculation. First I selected 30000 on the calculator keypad. Then I pressed Subtract. Next I pressed 6000 and then Enter to output the answer on the display screen.

The resulting answer was correct (24000) as you can see down below.

The size of the redstone calculator is simply amazing. Even if a calculator seems like a simple invention it really isn’t that easy to create. Perhaps this will give you an idea of the complexity it involves.
