Raptor Machine

This map is a small showcase of a huge raptor machine which is entirely powered by redstone. Once it starts moving it will shoot fire charges from its claws. These kind of maps are always fun to experience as they never cease to surprise what is possible to create in Minecraft.

While I do admit it might not be very useful as you won’t have any great control over the machine it is still a good map just for inspiration. For example, you can use the concept of a moving machine in this map to build some kind of vehicle which transports you from one place to another in your own world.

Once you’ve loaded the world there is a white structure which you can climb up to get to a platform. From the platform you can reach a yellow clay block. Destroy the yellow clay block to start the machine.

As it starts moving it will start shooting fire charges. They are not explosive but if you are hit by one you’ll definitely lose some health.

This is what the machine looks like from the ground. It looks kind of scary, don’t you think?

No Jumping

No Jumping is a new type of minigame which you can play either by yourself or together with a friend. In the game there are several lanes of blocks which will be pushed forward and the objective of the player is to avoid these by moving sideways.

It’s definitely a fun and addictive game.

Begin by selecting one of the six levels. The level is basically the speed of the blocks which will be pushed toward you.

Once you are ready enter the game platform and face away from the level buttons. After a few seconds blocks will start being pushed toward you.

Your objective is to try to survive by moving sideways left or right. If you are hit by a block then you will lose one of your health points. Once you’ve lost all your health points you will have to start over.

Spectators can watch an on-going game and they are also allowed to get snowballs to throw at the player to distract him.

Follow the signs in the map to find the multiplayer version of this minigame. For this to work it requires two players. It works similar to the singleplayer game except thart you will compete against another player.

Sky Adventure: Chapter 1

Sky Adventure is a parkour map combined with mob battles which all takes place high up in sky among the clouds. There is a good mix of parkour. Some which you would most likely consider quite easy and other parts which will be challenging even for the more experienced players. It offers somewhere around 15 minutes of gameplay, but it all depends obviously on your own skill level.

Subject 248: Days Gone Bye is an adventure map in which an artificial intelligence has taken you captive and is now forcing you to participate in different tests. It claims it is doing this for the greater good but you’ve had enough of these experiments and finally decided to escape. Subject 248: The Beginning

In this map you will be the captive of an artificial intelligence which looks to be running experiments on humans. Complete a series of levels to perhaps ultimately be released from this lab of madness. This map is fairly easy to complete as it includes just a few different levels and they are all quite easy.

Automatic Beacon Generator

This map demonstrates the beacon feature in Minecraft Pocket Edition version 0.16.0. In the map you will be able to use levers to activate multiple beacons to take advantage of different potions effects.

Use the levers to decide which type of potion effects to activate. As soon as a lever is toggled a sticky piston will pull the a diamond block to allow the correct beacon to beam and thus generate the potion effect.

Door Dash

Door Dash is a short but challenging minigame where you have to run through an obstacle course and try to get past as many doors you can. You can always retry by returning to the lobby and press the reset button. It’s a great map to train your running skills in Minecraft but it can also be used for competing against friends, even though it isn’t specifically designed for that.

It’s quite straightforward. Once you’ve spawned simply start running through the obstacle course. As soon as you run over the pressure plate the game will be started and you will only have so much time to reach the finish line.

Even though I admittedly didn’t succeed in completing the map it should be possible to complete it if you are really good at running in Minecraft.

Underground Base

In this map you can go and explore and underground base. Read the clues on the signs to find out how to find the base. It’s a really good base because it’s entirely protected from the outside world. There is no possibility whatsoever that any evil monsters can make their way into the base. It offers several clever redstone creations but for the most part it just looks really cool.

Here’s the hidden entrance. Find a way inside and then follow the tunnel which leads down into the base.

Once inside you will be able to explore multiple different rooms.

One of the rooms includes a large bed. Have a good night’s sleep after a long day adventuring in the world of Minecraft.

The bathroom has a large jacuzzi, a separate shower and a toilet.

Blocks vs Zombies

This map is inspired by SethBling’s Blocks vs Zombies map for PC. It’s a minigame where the objective is to survive 10 waves of zombies. By completing some of the waves you will gain access to better weapons. It’s a really fun (and sometimes stressful map) which is useful for anyone who want to improve their archery skills.

Take the bow and arrow from the chest and then press one of the buttons to start the wave of zombies. Shoot the zombies before they breach the base. There are in total eight waves which need to be completed to finish the map. You can see your progress by viewing the redstone lamps in the other end of the map.

You will retrieve new weapons after completing the 4th and then the 8th wave.
