Behind Locked Doors

Fire up those neurons! It’s time for eight confusing puzzles which will get your mind working. Most of the challenges include some sort of redstone mechanism which you must use to complete the level. Each level has its own set of rules so make sure to read the signs carefully before moving onto the next level.

Other than that I won’t say much seeing as it’s a puzzle map and it wouldn’t be fun if I gave you some of the answers.

Paradiscal’s Paintball

Paintball is a type of game where players have to shoot other players and by doing this take out the other team. This game doesn’t work exactly as in real life as here you will be able to kill other players which for obvious reasons aren’t possible in real life.

This map includes an addon which turns the snowball into a paintball gun. The aim is set to infinite range and will hit the target exactly where you aimed.

You will need at least two players to play this map. Let two of the players stand on one pressure plate each to access a hidden lever. Pull the lever to open the front gate and you will be able to access the arena.

Before entering the paintball arena make sure to give everyone some ammunition by typing the following text command: /give @a snowball 300

It’s up to you whether you want to play team deathmatch or normal deathmatch. Just make sure to spread out in the arena and not stand too close to an enemy. No one is allowed to start firing until the game has started.

To make sure everyone are ready start a countdown from 10 before starting.

If you get hit by a paintball pellet you will lose 1 heart. Once you are dead you are not allowed to enter the arena until it’s time for the next round.

Santa Mission

Santa has been locked up in a lab and is right now being used for experiments by some evil scientists. Christmas is at stake here and it’s up to you to go on an adventure to find him and release him from his imprisonment. There are still lots of presents which need to be delivered and the elves need their Santa to complete this extraordinary task!

Addon Creator’s World

This map includes all blocks and items which exist in version 1.0 of Minecraft Pocket Edition. If you are designing a new texture pack (also known as a resource pack) then this map can come handy. All of them have been placed down and sorted by their category (e.g. stone, wood etc) so they are really easy to find.

Half Heart Survival

This is a parkour map which uses an addon to drastically reduce your health. As a result you will notice that doing the different jumps becomes much more difficult as one wrong move and you will immediately die and have to start over. If you like parkour maps then this is well suited for you as it’s basically that but a bit more difficult.

This map includes an addon which sets your health in survival mode to just one half heart. The half heart isn’t visible (for unknown reasons) but if you make one wrong jump you will die. This means you’ve got to act carefully when doing the parkour challenges.

It might not look as a difficult parkour map but since your health is reduced to a half heart you will quickly notice that it’s much harder than what you probably thought.

BombWars

This is a simple and fun minigame which requires at least two players but preferably more. It uses an addon which makes TNT blocks explode much quicker. The objective is to place down the TNT blocks on the redstone blocks to kill the other players. The explosions causes just a little bit of damage so you need to be quick about it in order to cause some serious damage.

This minigame requires at least two players. If you are going to play it with more than two players I recommend splitting up in two separate teams.

It includes an addon (Quick TNT) and it basically makes the fuse for the TNT shorter which means it will explode as soon it’s placed down on a redstone block in the arena.

Your objective is to kill the other player(s) only by using the TNT blocks which you will be given before entering the arena.

If you run out of TNT blocks you can grab more in the center of the arena where they spawn frequently.

A round continues until there is just one player left. The last man or woman standing is the winner.

Simple Sky Adventure

Simple Sky Adventure is a challenging map which forces you to try to survive the life on multiple different skyblock islands. Each island is different from the other and this creates unique difficulties where you always have to be on the lookout for new dangers which can cause a struggle for your survival.

The spawn is on a skyblock island with minimal resources. Grab the items in the chest to get started. But make sure to use the items carefully as you might otherwise run out of resources very quickly.

The objective is to explore all 10 different islands.

The only way to do that is by taking it one night at a time and try to continuously evolve and gain better items and blocks. Then use your resources to build bridges between the islands to continue on with the exploration.

10 Simple Creations

This is a great map which have multiple redstone creations which I have never seen before in Minecraft. Some of them include a hidden furnace cooker, a microwave and a smart cobblestone generator. The best thing is that most of the creations seem fairly easy to build.

Hidden Auto Furnace: Drop some raw food items on the dirt and then some coal on the grass path. Wait for a few seconds and then open the chest to find some freshly cooked food.

Microwave: This one works similar to the creation above. Drop a raw food item in the microwave and then stand on the yellow clay block to receive it cooked when it’s done.

Elevator: This is one of the best elevators I have come across. It’s very easy to use. Just stand on the correct block and then press a button to get to the top.

Multi Cobblestone Generator: This generator lets you generate cobblestones in three separate lines at the same time.

Hidden Room: To access the hidden room drop some signs on the coal block. It’s really good because no one would ever know about it unless they knew about it before.

There are more creations than the ones mentioned which can be discovered in-game. It’s a really good showcase if you are looking for inspiration for your next builds.

Massive Megahydron

Massive Megahydron is an incredibly big robot. It’s entirely powered by redstone and is hooked up with more than 10 different types of rocket launchers which fire everything from explosive charges to poisonous arrows. This is a great map to try if you are looking to learn more about robotics in Minecraft and maybe even learn to build ones yourself.

To start the robot use a flint and steel on the observer blocks as seen in the image down below.

As soon it has been ignited it will start moving forward and shoot explosives.

Secret Spawn Eggs

This map lets 0.16.0 users easily explore the secret spawn eggs which can be found in the latest beta of Minecraft Pocket Edition. The reason why they are called secret is because they can’t be found in any public documentation. Basically you can use these spawn eggs to spawn different kind of entities, such as boats and primed TNTs.

If 0.16.0 has been released by the time you read this then it will most likely work using the official 0.16.0 version as well.

Once you’ve spawned in the map you will have 9 of the spawn eggs in your inventory. You can also use the following method to obtain the spawn eggs in other worlds.

Type the following text command to get a spawn egg: /give @p spawn_egg  

Example: /give @p spawn_egg 1 65 – this would give you 1 Primed TNT spawn egg
