Armor Stand Wave

This is a redstone creation which features the new armor sets in version 1.2 in a beautiful animated artwork. It’s basically a display of armor sets wearing different armor. By pressing a button in-game the armor stands will start bouncing up and down similar like a wave.

Press the button on the iron block to power the redstone and initiate the wave.

It’s a really beautiful thing to see but besides that there is really not much else to do in the map.

Important: This requires the 1.2 beta which is currently limited to Windows 10 and Android users only! Find out how to join the beta by clicking here!

Fireworks!

Poles! The blocks you see here are single iron and glass blocks. And on the very right (not the banners) you can see transparent ice.

Banners!

Stained glass!

There are lots of wonderful features and I really recommend that you head in-game (if you can) to check them out yourself. If you can’t then read the changelog here while waiting.

50 Banner Crafting Ideas

Version 1.2 adds a whole lot of cool features and one of them is the banner. Banners are decorative blocks which can be fully customized to your own preference. This map includes a total of 50 different ideas for banner designs. One downside though is that there are no crafting recipes included so you can only use the designs as ideas to build upon or as inspiration.

You’ll find 50 different banners and they are each uniquely amazing. Some of them are even flags for countries like Brazil.

It’s a little bit tricky to craft a banner. I truly recommend that you head over to the Minecraft Wiki to read a detailed guide for crafting. Hopefully someone can make a thorough/detailed tutorial map for that in the future.

Basic Banner Tutorial

Banners are a new feature in version 1.2 for Minecraft and this map aims to show you some tips and tricks you can use to create really cool and unique banners on your own. There are lots of useful information on the wiki but if you don’t have the time to read all of that then check out this map.

The tutorial will walk you through a series of steps and you’ll learn everything from how to craft a banner to how to make some more complex design changes.

Hopefully by the end of it you will have the knowledge required to design a more advanced banner.

LexerCity

This is a city which has been in constant development for somewhere around two years by now, but this is the first time it’s being released here. LexerCity is a modern city with many great architectural designs, including several skyscrapers, apartment complexes and more. There are lots of different things to see here and that makes it fun to explore. It should be noted, however, that it’s a fairly small city but it’s still pretty cool.

Evasion

Evasion is an adventure puzzle map which takes place in a maximum security prison. You were sent there after you got a little overconfident and decided to rob the National Bank of Minecraft. The objective at hand is to solve puzzles and make trades with other inmates to one day be able to escape the prison and reunite with your old gang on the outside. It’s definitely a fun experience and it’s supposedly based off a popular game called The Escapist.

You were one part of one of the most powerful gangs in Minecraft. No one ever dared to mess with you, not even the cops! One day you decided to go alone and rob the National Bank of Minecraft. You fought for a long time but finally you were surrounded and the cops took you in custody. Soon after you were sentenced and sent away to a Maximum Security Prison.

But you don’t plan on staying there any long time. You’ve decided to work alongside the other prison mates to find ways to trade, fight and solve puzzles and ultimately escape this prison. Will you have what it takes to do this?

You can talk with other prisoners by stepping on the pressure plates. Often times they will have small missions which you can complete in exchange for something you need.

My 20 Favorite Redstone Creations

This map features twenty different redstone creations which include a great mix of complexity. However, one thing they have all got in common is that each one is very useful in its own way. Each creation is very easy to examine so it’s a great map if you are a redstone beginner. Check them out in-game and see if there’s any you can find use for in your own worlds.

One of the creations is a hidden fireplace and another is a huge massive auto storage machine.

Keep your house safe with the Quadrillion Combination Lock. No one (except for maybe explosive creepers) can break inside your house!

Do you have a structure with multiple floors? Don’t use stairs! Instead, I recommend that you take the time to implement this elevator.
